The ECMI has formalized cooperation with a number of academic institutions across Europe which work in the area of minority research. Agreements have been signed with these institutions with the aim to bring these closer to the ECMI research clusters and regional offices and create synergy that provides for mutual support. Joint activities, networking and establishment of international research projects are some of the specific purposes of this cooperation.

  • The Center for the Study of Ethnicity and Culture (CVEK), Bratislava, Slovakia
  • The Ethnocultural Diversity Resource Center (EDRC), Cluj, Romania
  • The Åland Islands Peace Institute (AIPI), Mariehamn, Finland
