Visiting Fellows Programme
The Centre has been operating a Visiting Fellows Programme since it was established. Young scholars enrolled in PhD programmes in their home university or abroad who are pursuing a topic within or related to minority studies are welcomed at the Centre as Visiting Fellows for shorter or longer periods. They work with the relevant Research Cluster or independently dependent on their topic. Periods in residence can vary according to the Fellow's own estimation. The Fellows usually present their research project to the researchers at the Centre in a seminar and may also be invited to make a public presentation to the academic networks in the region.
Senior scholars are also in residence from time to time. They usually devote their time to specific tasks, such as writing or conceptualizing new research.
The ECMI is not able to support Visiting Fellows financially, but we try to help visitors with all practical matters arising from their stay with us. Some young Visiting Fellows may be able to benefit from the Flensburg Stadt Fellowship Programme. For more on this and how to apply, contact Ms. Maj-Britt Risbjerg Hansen at info[at]ecmi.de.
