ECMI Senior Research Associates Dr. Raul carstocea and Dr. Zora Popova, together with Poject Coordinator Ms. Tamari Bulia visit Baku for a study visit in the frameworks of the project "CO-OPERATION FOR A STABLE FUTURE: Inter-National and Inter-Cultural Dialogue as a Tool for Ensuring Peace and Sustainable Development". The project is funded by the Council on State Support to Non-governmental Organizations under the Auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan(CSSN).

ECMI Senior Research Associates Dr. Raul Carstocea and Dr. Zora Popova, together with ECMI Project Coordinator Ms. Tamari Bulia, visit Baku (Azerbaijan) within the framework of the CSSN Project. The visit will include meetings with the project partners and other stakeholders in Baku (NGOs, public institutions) in order to develop comprehensive methodology for the further project development.

ECMI Senior Research Associate Dr. Raul Carstocea participates at Conference “Political Mobilization in East Central and Southeast Europe” in Regensburg, Germany. The conference is organized by the Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe – Institute of the Leibniz Association (Marburg) and the Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (Regensburg).

Dr. Carstocea will be presenting a paper "Grassroots fascists: the political mobilization strategies of the 'Legion of the Archangel Michael', 1927-1938".

ECMI PRA Ms. Hanna Vasilevich participates at the conference 'EU Neighbourhood and Enlargement Policies revisited' in Budapest, Hungary. The conference is organized by the friedrich Ebert Stiftung Budapest and co-organized by the Center for EU Enlargement Studies at the Central European University and the Willy Brandt School at the University of Erfurt.

Ms. Vasilevich will present her paper 'Eastern Europe: Neighbourhood policy as a means to hold them out - but do we want to have a problematic neighbourhood?'.

ECMI Senior Research Associate Dr. Raul Carstocea participates at the Conference "Right Turn for Europe? Right Wing Populism, Extremism, and the European Elections" in Cologne, Germany. The conference is organized by the Federal Agency for Civic Education with the strategic cooperation of the Regional Office of the European Commission in Bonn.

The conference is organized by the European Forum for Restorative Justice (EFRJ) and co-hosted by the Queens University Belfast and the University of Ulster.

ECMI Senior Research Associate Dr. Raul Carstocea attends a Conference “Fascism Without Borders: Transnational Connections and Cooperation between Movements and Regimes in Europe 1918 to 1945”, organzied by the Freie Universität Berlin in Berlin, Germany.   • Festival of National Cultures in Chisinau
  • Conference organized by the Bulgarian cultural organization “Rodoliubec” in Tiraspol.

10 (ten) Nordic language teachers were hosted by the ECMI. ECMI Senior Research Associate Dr. Zora Popova presented the issues of minorities, education and bilingualism to the guests. This visit was a part of the Nordic teacher conference. It was organized by Duborg Skolen and Mads Clausen Gymnasiet.

Ukrainian Plenipotentiary on Ethno-national Issues Mr. Genadiy Druzenko visited ECMI headquarters in Flensburg, Germany. ECMI Research and project team presented the mission and work of ECMI, as well as specific projects and ECMI role in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe.

ECMI Senior Research Associate Dr. Raul Carstocea took part in the regional workshop "Potentials in Peacemaking: Conflict Resolution in Intercultural Contexts in the CEE Region", in Budapest, Hungary. This workshop was organized by the Foresee Research Group, the Institute of Sociology of Law and Criminology (IRKS) and the National Institute of Criminology (OKRI)

ECMI Project Assistant Sonja Wolf participated in the info event "Der Ukraine Konflict" (the Ukrainian Conflict) in Flensburg City Hall. The event was held by the City of Flensburg in cooperation with European Academy Schleswig-Holstein and Academia Baltica

13 November

ECMI Project Assistant Sonja Wolf held a meeting with the FUEN representatives in their office. The meeting concerned the issues of possible cooperation between ECMI and FUEN. During the event Sonja Wolf was introduced 2 undergoing projects of the Federal Union of European Nationalities.
