Autonomy Arrangements in the World
The conference Autonomy Arrangements in the World takes place on 14-15 September at Flensborghus, Flensburg, Germany. The conference is open to the public.
The programme of the conference can be found here.
Autonomy Arrangements in the World will host a range of scholars and researchers from around the world. They will help the organizers in the endeavor to identify and to describe as many active autonomy arrangements in the world as possible. There will be a special focus on lesser known cases.
No comprehensive list of autonomy arrangements exists. This is one major background to the conference and the project that carries it. A comprehensive list is a first step for a research-based typology, for comparative analysis, and for an informed assessment of the advantages and shortages of the existing autonomy setups.
The conference is co-organized by the Political Science Department of Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, the Romanian Institute for Research on National Minorities, Cluj-Napoca, and the European Centre for Minority Issues.
