Current policy debates in Kosovo fail to address what might well be the most important development issue facing Kosovo today: the impact of migration. As a result, one of the most destabilising changes to affect Kosovo for generations - the end of the era of mass migration - risks being entirely overlooked by those responsible for promoting stability and prosperity in Kosovo. Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development KIPRED
KIPRED was founded in 2002 with the aim of promoting and strengthening democracy and democratic values in postwar Kosovo. KIPRED's mission is to promote and strengthen democracy and democratic values in Kosovo and the region. KIPRED is organized around two main pillars: a) policy research and b) training of political parties and government. A number of useful publications can be found here. ECMI Kosovo advances majority-minority relations through the protection and promotion of minority communities and their interests, with the overarching aim to develop inclusive, representative, community-sensitive institutions that support a stable multi-ethnic Kosovo. Publications including regular newsletters and activity reports are also included on this website. Highly recommended as a starting point for research.

Health Care Under Siege / November 1998 / Johannes Wier Foundation
The results of this Dutch medical fact-finding mission to Kosovo highlight the failure of Serbian authorities to perform necessary forensic investigations of the suspicious deaths of ethnic Albanians, as well as the severe deterioriation of health care under the conditions of armed political conflict. Recommendations are made to end the violations of health-related human rights.
