IOI/CARIBBEAN: Anti-Corruption training in Curaçao
Following the very successful anti-corruption training programme conducted by the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) in 2013, the IOI is pleased to inform you that a second and updated edition of the IOI’s anti-corruption training programme will be held in Curaçao on 27 and 28 May 2015 during the 8th Biennial Conference of Caribbean Ombudsman Association (CAROA).
SPAIN/ BASQUE COUNTY: Julia Hernández Valles new acting Ombudsman
Julia Hernández Valles, who joined the Office of the Ombudsman of the Basque County in June 2004, has been nominated as acting Ombudsman, after Iñigo Lamarca ended his term of more than ten years.
AUSTRALIA: Victorian Ombudsman finds a ‘litany of failings’ in oversight of aged care home
The Victorian Ombudsman Deborah Glass has today tabled a report in Parliament highly critical of government oversight of an aged care facility home to 39 elderly residents, many over 90 years old.
