ECMI is now soliciting articles for Volume 6, Issue 2 of JEMIE. As the UN has designated 2008 the International Year of Languages, the special focus for this edition is on language rights and the protection of regional and minority languages. Those interested in contributing should contact
jemie@ecmi.de either with completed articles or with abstracts of articles that they intend to submit. The deadline for submissions is 31 October 2007.
Guidelines for submission
JEMIE welcomes contributions from practitioners, academics and students on all aspects of ethnopolitics and minority issues. Although most articles are commissioned, unsolicited articles are also welcome and potential authors are encouraged to contact the Editors. All contributions are reviewed by two members of the Editorial Board.
Articles between 5,000 and 7,000 words, including references, should be sent by email attachment to our JEMIE Group . Each article should be accompanied by a short abstract (100-150 words) and a brief biographical note outlining the author's credentials, affiliation and relevant publications (approx. 70 words). All articles published in JEMIE must be original and exclusive.
Commentary is also invited on any of the issues raised through our publications. These pieces should be no longer than 3,000 words, and should be sent via email attachment to our JEMIE Group. Both commentaries and articles should be prepared in accordance with the ECMI Style Guide.
