Ombudsman Institutions and Minority Issues
Training Workshop at Office of the Public Defender, Tbilisi, Georgia
The European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI) is holding a training workshop for staff members of the Ombudsman institutions in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, who work in the area of human rights and minority issues.
The purpose of the workshop is to discuss experiences and exchange information about the role of the Ombudsman in human rights and minority rights work, and will provide an opportunity for networking between the regional institutions. The presenters include representatives of the OSCE, United Nations Volunteers, the Helsinki Committee, academic experts and practitioners from Ombudsman institutions in Georgia and the Russian Federation.
