Dr. Alexander Osipov (Russia)
Senior Research Associate
Dr. Alexander Osipov is heading the Justice & Governance Cluster at ECMI. He studied history and law in Russia and in 1993 defended a PhD thesis in ethnology in the Russian Academy of Sciences where he worked for 17 years. For 14 years he was also a member of the Human Rights Centre “Memorial”, one of the leading Russian human rights NGOs where he coordinated the programme on ethnic discrimination. Currently his research interests include ethnic and racial discrimination, non-territorial autonomy, cost-effectiveness of minority protection and models of official diversity management.
