Tamari Bulia, MA (Georgia)

Communications and Outreach

Tamari Bulia holds MA degree in European Studies at the University of Flensburg and BSc degree in Public Health Management at Tbilisi State Medical University. Being a recipient of the scholarship by the US Department of State, she has graduated high school in USA. She has participated in number of trainings and youth initiatives in Georgia, Ukraine, Turkey, Lithuania, Netherlands, Austria, UK and Germany, funded by the European Commission (YiA, EVS, Erasmus+, Grundtvig Projects). Besides the degree programmes, she holds professional certificates in Social Media Management (Certified by IHK Schleswig-Holstein) Project Cycle Management and Marketing. Tamari has pursued internships at the United Nations Headquarters (working for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research - UNITAR), Haccetteppe University in Ankara, Turkey (at the Department of Statistics), Family Support Center in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Working experience of Tamari is related to project coordination, organizing training events, fundraising, communications, liasing and networking.

At ECMI Tamari is in change of Communications and Outreach and her tasks include: 

  • Communications: implementing communication strategy, managing the website, blog, social media profiles, newsletters; 
  • Fundraising/Outreach: project applications, monitoring funding options and relations to donors, being a contact person for donor organizations and partners;
  • Project coordination: current projects include Minorities in Western Balkans, Erasmus+ project Teaching in Diversity.

She is also a co-organiser of the ECMI Summer School and acts as a PA to the ECMI Director. Tamari's research interest focus on environmental degradation and human rights.
