ECMI participates in EU Seminar on Minority Rights in North-West Vietnam

On 8 and 9 December 2011, ECMI Project Research Associate Mr Ugo Caruso will participate in a two-day seminar on international minority rights standards convened by the SOFRECO French Development Agency in Yen Bai (Tay Bac), Vietnam. The meeting is organised in cooperation with the Committee of Ethnic Minorities of the Government of Vietnam and the EU Delegation to Vietnam.

In the frame of the seminar “Protecting Human Rights for Ethnic Minorities in the North-West Vietnam”, Mr Caruso will provide for an overview of international standards for minority rights protection. The Seminar will be attended by representatives from the EU Delegation to Vietnam, members of the Vietnamese Government as well as provincial level officials.
