Staatspolitische Gesellschaft Hamburg visits European Centre for Minority Issues
A group from the Staatspolitische Gesellschaft Hamburg will visit the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI) on 31 October. The visit is part of a day excursion with the title "Germans and Danes - example of successful minority politics". At ECMI, the group will meet with Dr. Tove Malloy, ECMI Director, who will speak on minority politics and ECMI’s tasks. There will also be an opportunity to visit the ECMI Library, where ECMI Librarian William McKinney will speak on the widely diverse subjects and publications available in the field of minority issues. After the visit at ECMI the group will have a discussion with Jørgen Kühl, Principal of the Danish High School AP Møller Skolen (Schleswig) and former Director of the Danish Border Region Institute in Aabenraa.

Staatspolitische Gesellschaft Hamburg besucht das ECMI
Die Staatspolitische Gesellschaft Hamburg besucht am Sonnabend, 31. Oktober 2009, das Europäische Zentrum für Minderheitenfragen (ECMI). Der Besuch ist Teil einer Tagesexkursion mit dem Titel „Deutsche und Dänen – Beispiel einer geglückten Minderheitenpolitik“. Bei dem Besuch im ECMI trifft die Gruppe die Direktorin des Instituts Dr. Tove Malloy, die über Minderheitenpolitik und die Aufgaben des ECMI informieren wird. Es wird auch Gelegenheit geben, die Bibliothek des ECMI zu besuchen, wo Bibliothekar William McKinney über die weit gefächerten Themenbereiche und vielfältigen Publikationen im Minderheitenbereich berichten wird.
Im Anschluss an den Besuch beim ECMI wird die Gruppe ein Gespräch mit Jørgen Kühl, Rektor des dänischen Gymnasiums AP Møller Skolen in Schleswig und ehemaliger Leiter des Instituts für Grenzregionsforschung in Apenrade, führen.
