Bei der letzen Landtags-Wahl in Schleswig-Holstein als auch bei der Kommunal-Wahl in Dänemark 2009 wurde die politische Arbeit der Minderheiten auf die Probe gestellt - mit Erfolg. Die politische Arbeit sowohl beim SSW (Südschleswigsche Wählerverband - Partei der dänischen Minderheit in Deutschland) als auch die der SP (Die Schleswigsche Partei - Partei der deutschen Minderheit in Dänemark) spiegelten sich wieder in guten Ergebnissen. Die aktuelle Broschüre des ECMI stellt die Minderheits-Parteien und dessen politische Arbeit vor.
