Every year the ECMI organizes a number of events both in Flensburg and in the regions of our Regional offices. Conferences, seminars, workshops,  lectures and other types of events are usually announced ahead of time on our main homepage or on the pages of the Regional offices.

ECMI Consultant Dr. Zora Popova is in Rzeszów, Poland to attend the 12th Europe-Ukraine Forum. The Europe-Ukraine Forum was first organised in 2007 and is one of the key events prepared by the Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies. The main topic of the 12th Forum is the reform and modernisation of Ukraine as a result of the presidential and parliamentary elections scheduled for 2019.

The Schackenborg foundation organises together with the ECMI and the Danish Foreign Policy Society (Copenhagen) a lecture series which focuses on new borders in Europe, resulting from the First World War. The first lecture will take place at the Schackenborg Castle in Tønder/ Denmark and carries the title “War and Peace- 100 years of new borders in Europe” . The editor-in-chief of the newspaper Dolomiten/ Bolzano/ South-Tyrol is invited as a guest speaker. Siggi Matlok (former editor in chief Nordschleswiger/ Apenrade) will moderate the discussion.

Project Research Associate Stanislav Černega and Project Assistant Polina Sulima travel to Comrat, Moldova in the frames of the project: Empowering Future Minority Leaders. In a one-week seminar, young Moldovan participants learn about Minority rights, meet German Minority experts and develop first ideas for their own civic campaign. The project is implemented by the ECMI in cooperation with Youth Platform for Interethnic Solidarity.
