Facundo Reyna-Muniain

Dr. Facundo Reyna-Muniain works as a consultant for the ECMI. His main research and teaching areas are minority languages, multilingualism, diaspora studies, family language policy, sociolinguistics and glottopolitics.
Facundo studied Literature and Linguistics at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) as well as received a degree in Hispanic Philology and a master’s degree in Literature and Culture Studies from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). He holds a doctorate in Ibero-Romance Linguistics with the thesis "Lengua e Identidad en el caso de los hablantes y neo-hablantes de lengua gallega en Argentina" defended at the University of Bremen.
Previously, he held positions of a research associate at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) and the University of Bremen. Facundo was also a guest researcher and teacher at several universities, for example: the University of the Basque Country (EHU), the University of Salamanca (USAL), Europa-Universität Flensburg (EUF) and the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He is currently teaching at the Romanisches Seminar at the Christian-Albrecht University of Kiel (CAU) and works as an external researcher at the Galician Language Institute (ILG).
