Jonas Hoppe

Jonas is a bachelor’s student majoring in History with a minor in Political Science at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. He plans to write his thesis next semester on the influence of naval theorist Alfred T. Mahan on Alfred von Tirpitz and the German naval build-up prior to the First World War. With a strong interest in military history, security policy, and conflict research, he is currently interning with the Conflict & Security Cluster at the ECMI
