Seminar in ECMI Headquarters' Region: CIVIL SOCIETY DIALOGUE - BETWEEN MINORITY AND MAJORITY IN THE GERMAN-DANISH BORDER REGION

2022-10-21
The Minderheiten Kompetenz Netzwerk/ (Minorities Competence Network) exists since June 2020. The initiative offers various activities by and for national and regional minorities in the German-Danish border region.

As a founding member of the Minority Competence Network (MKN), we are pleased to announce this interesting event:

The programme consists of different lectures and excursions to the local minorities of the region.

What makes the German-Danish border region special in terms of minority issues?
How can different autochthonous minorities live peacefully together ?
Can the German-Danish border region be a model for other regions?

Participants from different countries will meet at this five-day program to learn more about the local minorities ( the German minority in Denmark,  the Danish minority in Germany, the German Sinti and Roma and the North Frisian ethnic group). The aim of the seminar is to discuss the basis for a peaceful civil society dialogue between different groups of national minorities and the majority population.

Who: The event addresses key persons from European regions with national and regional minorities.

When: 21 November 2022 – 25 November 2022
