ECMI Library
The ECMI Library is an independent collection of books, journals, and grey literature of more than 3,000 items covering many aspects of minority issues. The highly specialized collection offers public access to a variety of materials in more than twenty languages on interethnic relations, language and cultural diversity issues and ethnic conflict in Europe.
The Library includes a useful reference section and a considerable number of published and unpublished reports, and is especially strong in the area of minority protection with regards to international law. The ECMI Library is also unique in that it includes an ever-growing number of annual reports of Ombudsman offices around the world, which provide insight into the human rights situation in many countries. Current periodical and newspaper subscriptions reflect the multidisciplinary nature of ECMI research, and reference services are provided both in-house and for the general public.

| Description | This volume is dedicated to the myths, as well as to the data and facts about Kosovo. The book is authored by the Austrian diplomat Wolfgang Petritsch, together with Graz University historians Karl Kaser and Robert Pichler. The book was conceived as a reference work covering the period between 1285 and 1999. However, its focus is on the international community's efforts to prevent an escalation of the violence in Kosovo and establish a negotiation process. Wolfgang Petritsch is a former Austrian ambassador to Belgrade who also served as EU special commissioner for Kosovo and is currently the international community's chief administrator in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He grants the reader a hitherto unparalleled insight into the complexities of the Rambouillet negotiations. He concludes that only when East and Southeast Europeans in the Balkans are equal partners in a democratic Europe, will one honestly be able to refer to a "united Europe". |

Materials from the ECMI Library may not be loaned out, but can be consulted in the Danish library on the following days:
